"My computer has been locked!"And my day's off to a great start people!
"Alright, let me check... It's not locked out."
"But I can't log on!"
"What does the error message say?"
"The user-name or password is incorrect."
"That means either your user-name or your password are incorrect. Can you try again?"
"It's not working."
"Alright, could you check very carefully if your user-name is spelled correctly and if caps lock is off?"
"It is! I'm not daft!"
"Do you have another way to access the internet, like a smartphone or a colleague's computer which you can use for a minute?"
"No. ... ... ... But I do have a smartphone."
"Right. Can you go to password.company.com?"
"Oh well, that's too much trouble. I'll ask a colleague if I can use her computer for a bit."

People... *shakes head*
ReplyDeleteHope the rest of your day is better!
Haha it was actually pretty quiet, thankfully.
DeleteI kind of love these sort of calls though, they make me laugh. It's like having a front-row seat to a comedy show... And trying not to laugh.
